Last minute Card

oh no says no2 son i have'nt got a card for Mothers Day for gran mum can you make me one.

Well bless him he just has'nt had the chance to go out and buy one because he works 12 hour shifts so shops not open when he goes out to work in the mornings and are closed when he comes in at night. My poor brain just could'nt take it cos it's frazzled because our next door neighbours decided to have a party last night that just got louder and louder as the night went on, by 1 this morning we had all had enough and for the first time in 26 years since we have lived here Mick had to go n knock on their door and ask if they would keep the noise down. Great says me n daughter they'll be quiet now but NO, they had not one but two karaoke machines goin at once guys 0n one n girls on the other screaming along to the music, i say screaming cos thats just wot it sounded like. Another two hours past and it was still going on louder than ever so off mick went again and knocked on the door, had to stiffle a laugh when a guy answered the door and mick again asked could they keep the noise down, the guy asked "who are you like" to which mick answered that he was the neighbour who could'nt sleep for the noise, the reply to that was "i did'nt know there were neighbours" DUH this is a street with terraced houses.Anyway one threat from me to inform the police and within ten minutes everyone left and peace rained bliss.

finally we got to bed at 3.30 this morning.

So you see i'm just too tired to make a proper card so printed this one out from my new Hallmark Card Studio, changed a few words and added a touch of glamour dust and a ribbon

Never mind Spring

it's been more like summer here today and as it was so nice it was a good excuse to get out and about with the scrathounds instead of listening to hubby and son wittering on about cars.... BORING!!!!!! We did'nt go far as there is lots of open fields at the end of my street overlooking the sea and what could be better than the blue sky warm sunshine and the birds singing. Got a bit excited cos i seen my first bumblebee and butterfly of the year sad i know but it made me happy lol!The scrathounds enjoyed a game of fetch the stick and chase the bunnies, Patch the Jack Russel gets so excited when he sees them and yaps with delight, good job he's a softie really and never tries to hurt or kill them ,strange for a dog of his breed but i'm pleased about it, Sabre loves to join in just for the sake of running.

Did'nt have my camera today but manage to get a couple of pics with my phone so as promised here's a pic of my scrathounds.

Mothers Day

I was inspired to make this by a member of the Crafts Beautiful Forum, i loved the way she had used the ribbon and just had to have a go, think i'm now addicted to making these ribbon flowers

The main image is one our Dee has saved on her lappy so i thought oooooooooooo that will make a nice card so i twocked it heheheheh

This time i've hidded the card just incase no1 son takes a liking to it for his sister

Saturday 7 March 2009

Well what a day it's been but this is the result. Daughter is about to start driving lessons and wanted her own car so after looking aroung various garages to see wot was on offer and what Danika could fit into and manage to drive, she's a bit on the small size for your average 17 year old her dad found this on ebay. Well she liked the look of it and wanted to go have a look so off they trundled last weekend to view it, to say she fell in love with it is an understatement.
After much discussion on the pro's and cons of owning her own car plus the cost of runing it she decided to put in a bid. as it went she was outbid a few times but with 5 minutes to go on the auction and Danika being at college her dad upped the offer and she won it woohoo.
must admit it was a steal at the price she payed for it.
So today was the day to go pick it up.We all piled into her brother pauls car and set off for Morpeth which is just a 35 minute drive away, but nooooooooooooo not today it was'nt.We got onto the A19 ok but just a few miles up the road there was chaos, traffic backed up for miles due to multible accidents and 40 minutes later we had gone 5 miles. ok not a problem we not in a hurry so just waited it out. finally the road cleared and we were on our way again and got through the Tyne Tunnel but on coming out just round the corner we hit a huge traffic jam again, more accidents, so what started out as a quick trip took us five and a half hours all told.
I tell you my dear daughter will be in debt for the rest of her life and not because of the price of a car.
Just glad to get home safe and sound and those poor people involved in the many accidents today are in our thought and prayers

Long Time

and it certainly has been a long time since i've been here cos i forgot all about it,typical me.

Lets see what have i been up to lately. Well not much cardmaking since Christmas cos i've got really painful hands think it may be the flippin cold weather oh roll on the summer.

No1 son has been busy this last few months building a website for our local cricket club and of course he cant do it without asking mummy to help, i ask you wot do i know about websites absolutely nothing nada zilch but because i'm a member of a few i helped him with layouts n stuff

and he gave me the great job of looking through over 500 animated smilies and choose which were best for his forum dah.

The weather has turned a wee bit milder this last few days so thought it was time to shake the cobwebs away and take my two scrathounds for longer walks in the hope of getting us all fit. i'll put a photo of them on later.

OOO i did manage to make a card for a family members birthday, a wee bit of stamping and a wee bit of cuttlebugging and jobs a goodun
