Well what a day it's been but this is the result. Daughter is about to start driving lessons and wanted her own car so after looking aroung various garages to see wot was on offer and what Danika could fit into and manage to drive, she's a bit on the small size for your average 17 year old her dad found this on ebay. Well she liked the look of it and wanted to go have a look so off they trundled last weekend to view it, to say she fell in love with it is an understatement.
After much discussion on the pro's and cons of owning her own car plus the cost of runing it she decided to put in a bid. as it went she was outbid a few times but with 5 minutes to go on the auction and Danika being at college her dad upped the offer and she won it woohoo.
must admit it was a steal at the price she payed for it.
So today was the day to go pick it up.We all piled into her brother pauls car and set off for Morpeth which is just a 35 minute drive away, but nooooooooooooo not today it was'nt.We got onto the A19 ok but just a few miles up the road there was chaos, traffic backed up for miles due to multible accidents and 40 minutes later we had gone 5 miles. ok not a problem we not in a hurry so just waited it out. finally the road cleared and we were on our way again and got through the Tyne Tunnel but on coming out just round the corner we hit a huge traffic jam again, more accidents, so what started out as a quick trip took us five and a half hours all told.
I tell you my dear daughter will be in debt for the rest of her life and not because of the price of a car.
Just glad to get home safe and sound and those poor people involved in the many accidents today are in our thought and prayers
